About Us

Hillview Sports Club provides outstanding sporting and social activities to the citizens of Clonmel and the surrounding area. The club caters for Tennis, Pitch and Putt, Badminton and Table Tennis for its members and also provides use of the facilities to schools, social and charitable organisations as well as casual day members.

Hillview has been proudly associated with the town of Clonmel for over 80 years and the facilities in the club have been upgraded with each generation. It continues to be a great recreational space for juniors over the summer months and we know from worldwide feedback how well they remember the good times they had in Hillview.

BINGO and LOTTO

All Clubs require fund raising support and as such we currently run a Monday evening Bingo in the Clubhouse hall and a weekly lotto draw each Saturday night.

Our Club Lotto is available for ONE EURO per weekly ticket and our annual buy-in is available at a discounted rate of FORTY-FIVE EURO for 50 weeks. Tickets can be purchased from any member of management or at the Clubhouse.

As Hilllview is a volunteer run Sports Club and our membership fees do not cover the running costs, we rely on both of these fundraising events to help fund our Club. Any help and support you can give will be deeply appreciated.

Management Structure

Management Structure

The Club is governed by a Constitution which specifies that an Annual General Meeting of members should be convened in January. The executive of the Club is comprised of a President, Hon. Secretary and Hon. Treasurer and these positions are elected annually. The other members of the Management Committee include the various Sports Captains and 9 members who are also elected at the AGM.

The Management Committee may empower a number of sub committees to work on specific projects. The various sub-committees such as The Sports, Bingo, Lotto and Project committees all report to the Management Committee at the monthly meeting.

A full list of all current management members may be found posted in the club house.

Community

Community

Hillview Sports Club has been an integral part of the sporting, social and community life of Clonmel and environs for over 80 years. Generations of the youth of Clonmel have spent many enjoyable summers in Hillview. With our enhanced facilities, we are sure the current generation will continue to enjoy memorable times in Hillview.

Hillview provides all its facilities for free to all school and charitable organisations. It is used extensively by schools for sports whereas voluntary and community groups use it for all types of functions and activities, including fashion shows, table quiz’s, OAP and Wheelchair parties.

Some of our users have included Bridgewater House, Comeragh Challenge Walk, Pakistani National Day, Clonmel Gardai and Clonmel Wheelchair Society. To facilitate these activities, Hillview members have always been available to help with car park stewarding, hall set up and voluntary bar staff.

We very much hope, with your ongoing help, to be in a position to continue supporting schools and other community events.
